National College of Arts Relief Fund

The NCA Relief Fund has sent 5 consignments in trucks escorted by the Military to the affected areas (specifically Mansehra, Balakot, Muzaffarabad and now Bagh). The trucks were carrying packaged food items, bottled water, clothes, medicines and rolls of burial cloth. They have also managed to arrange 3 helicopters from a private charity hospital which will help drop doctors and medicines to a make-shift medical camp in Balakot by nightfall.

IBA

IBA Karachi staff and faculty members have donated one-day salary for earthquake victims.

Karachi University Teachers' Society

The Karachi University Teachers’ Society announced donation of one-day salary.

FUUAST

Students of the Federal Urdu University for Arts, Science and Technology raised Rs 130,000 and arranged blankets and medicines for the quake victims. Prof Manzoorul Islam donated Rs 200,000 while some students were providing voluntary services at the airport to deal with relief supplies.

CPSP

The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan has donated Rs 1 million to the President’s Relief Fund from its own resources. All employees of CPSP head office and all regional centres will donate their one-day salary.

  • As a nation, no doubt its one of the greatest tragedy.But the courage and the remarkable spirit our studenst from schools, colleges, universities has shown yet is awsome, but the need of the hour is to keep on this effort for atleast for 6 months, yet its one of the best opportunity for us to mobilize ourselves to continue our struggle for our country in the future as well.
